First Question...

I bought this for my birthday, among other things:
It's a fun book. Yeah, I admit I crochet pretty things every once in a while. It's a great way to keep my fingers busy when my brain is otherwise occupied. I also have a thing for wildflowers and this book has some great ones. Check out that columbine on the front cover. I think I'm going to have to make a whole bouquet of those this weekend. Love columbine flowers.

So, for this post, your question is:

What's your favorite flower?

And your prize is:

Three crocheted flowers of your choice, if I've got a pattern for them or can make one up. Check the link for the book and do some browsing if you want to know what's inside.

My favorite flower is like my favorite child, depends on who's blooming at the moment. I love 4 o'clocks, hollyhocks, columbine, primrose, roses, irises, snowball bushes, lilacs, mock orange, hibiscus, orchids, pansies, lilies...

  1. My favorite flower is the Lilac because of their sweet smell. I also like Carnations, Roses, and Gardenias. All because of how they smell.

  2. I love that book (and I think I'm the one who showed it to you), so I don't want a crocheted flower-- I want a few weeks with that book and your scrap yarn bucket.

And my favorite flower is the fuschia Christmas Cactus that blooms for my birthday each year. I haven't managed to kill it yet. :)

  4. I love them all. I can't pick a favorite. Tyrca, you should try 4 o'clocks. They have the loveliest smell when they open in the evenings.

Licia, come and get it, in a week or two. I want to play with it first.

  5. Mine? Trillium. Specifically, the Western wake-robin Trillium.
