Monday Inspiration

I love this quote. I want this to be my epitaph when the time comes. I want people to look at me and say, "She had a light within."

Background artwork from www.sgeier.net/fractals. Check out his beautiful work. I think he really needs to offer them as posters. I'd buy them all.

What would you like on your tombstone? Funny or serious, I'll reward at least one commenter with a free audible book code. Why not check out my latest release, Soul Windows, on Audible? Science fiction and fantasy stories ranging from silly to serious, delve into strange worlds from my imagination. Includes "Second Chances" and "Thief's Ransom", two shorts from the Altairan Empire.

The Audio Book Journey

I finally dipped my toe into the audio book world last fall. I personally don't listen to them because my brain doesn't work that way. Two minutes into the book and I'm off in lala land and have no idea what's going on in the story. My hubby, on the other hand, loves audio books. So do a lot of other people I know. So I checked into ACX, which is the production side of Audible. Not that painful. It is time consuming, but once you get a good narrator, everything is pretty easy.

Right now, I have two titles out - Second Chances, a short story, and Soul Windows, a short story collection. Next up - Nexus Point, book 1 in my space opera series. Look for that sometime in late summer or early fall.

Want to win a free audible code? Tell me what you like in a narrator, what makes an audio book good. I'll reward your opinion with a free audible code, until I run out. You can leave the comment here, post it on FB, message me with it, whatever you are comfortable with. I will need an email address to give you your code, but I promise not to spam you with anything else. Unless you want me to.

New Release Monday

Winter semester is over. I've got a couple days before spring term starts. So what do I do? Release a few books in new venues.

So, for your reading pleasure, here is the new and improved Nexus Point in print (coming very soon on Amazon!) with a pretty new cover. If you've already read it, I only made a few minor changes, mostly to make the writing better. If you haven't read it, what are you waiting for? It's a fun, exciting adventure story. Nothing heavy like the tomes I waded through for classes this last semester.

If you're looking for something shorter and less of a commitment, Brain Candy is now available in any ebook format from Smashwords, which means it will shortly show up on a lot of other retailers, too. Bonus! Use this code VV98M to get Brain Candy for only ninety-nine cents!

I can't put just one on sale - get Soul Windows for only ninety-nine cents, too, using the code AE37A.
